What’s New at Ruby Creek Family Farm for Fall 2026

The Ruby Creek Fall Festival 2026 season runs October 9 through November 8, and it brings the biggest changes since the farm opened its gates. Here’s everything new at our family farm and pumpkin patch in Aurora, thirty minutes northwest of Fort Worth, plus everything that’s staying exactly the way you like it.

Our First-Ever Corn Maze

The one families have been asking about for two seasons: Ruby Creek has a real, walk-through corn maze, planted right here on the farm and opening with the festival on October 9. It joins the hay maze and the corn pits, which means every age finally gets a maze-shaped adventure sized right: tall corn for the big kids, hay bales for the littles, and a trough of loose kernels for anyone who would rather dig than navigate.

Best part: if you’ve been searching for a corn maze near Fort Worth without a crosstown drive attached, this one is included with your regular $15 admission, like the other 20+ attractions. No wristbands, no upcharge.

Two New Faces in The Barnyard

This year the animal family grew by two, and they couldn’t be more different.

Fergus, our Highland cow, is the shaggiest thing on four legs in Wise County, with a fringe you have to see in person. He’s settling in as the most photographed resident on the farm, and we’re still landing on his name, so follow along on Facebook or Instagram for the announcement.

Leroy Brown the llama needs no introduction, but here’s one anyway: baddest llama in the whole dang town. He holds court in The Barnyard and takes his greeting duties very seriously.

They join the miniature goats, donkeys, sheep, bunnies, chickens, and the longhorn herd you can hand-feed from the covered hayride, still the only add-on on the farm at $3 a rider.

Three Free Admission Weekends

New for 2026, three of our six weekends say thank you with free pumpkin patch admission:

  • Local Hero Weekend, October 9 to 11: all current military, EMS, police, firefighters, and nurses get in free with valid ID.
  • Teacher Appreciation Weekend, October 16 to 18: all teachers get in free with valid ID.
  • Grandparents Weekend, November 6 to 8: all grandparents with a grandchild get in free on closing weekend.

See the full season at a glance on our dates and hours page.

Halloween Falls on a Saturday

The calendar did us a favor this year: Halloween lands on the Saturday of Weekend Five, October 30 to November 1. If your family wants a daytime, non-scary way to celebrate before the neighborhood rounds, Halloween weekend at the farm is built for exactly that.

What Is Staying the Same

The things that matter aren’t changing. Admission is still $15, with grandparents and veterans at $12 and children under 24 months free. One ticket still covers 20+ attractions, from the two-story sand pile to the fishing pond. Parking is still free, the caramel apples are still gourmet, and Stacy still answers the phone at (817) 966-0141.

Hours stay familiar too: Fridays 10 to 3, Saturdays 10 to 7, Sundays 11 to 6, every weekend from October 9 through November 8. Making a day trip of it? Here’s our guide to things to do in Aurora, TX.
