Easier than crossing the metroplex
Head north through Boyd on FM 730, pick up the signs toward Aurora, then Old Base Road to Oates Creek Road. About 20 easy country minutes, and Springtown is closer still. The big red ENTRANCE flag on Oates Creek Road marks the gate, and our directions page walks you in turn by turn if the back roads get quiet.
Coming from a different corner of the west side? Here’s the drive from Keller and the run up 287 from Haslet.
Worth the country road
West of Fort Worth, the big-name patches all mean a haul across the metroplex. Ruby Creek is the other direction: 20 minutes north of Azle in Aurora, on land the Peterson family has worked since the 1930s, with real animals, real rangeland, and a full day your kids will sleep off in the car. Come choose your favorite pumpkin, then browse everything the 20+ attractions include or start with the pumpkin patch itself.
