Pumpkin Patch Questions,
Answered
Everything families ask before visiting Ruby Creek Family Farm — prices, hours, rain plans, hayrides, and how to find the big red flag.
01Tickets, Pricing & Payment
How much does admission cost?
Admission is $15 per person for everyone age 2 and up, with grandparents and veterans at $12, and children 24 months and under free. Every attraction on the farm is included — see full details on the tickets page.
What does admission include?
Everything — all 20+ attractions: the two-story sand pile, human hamster wheels, farm animals, fishing pond, play areas, photo ops, and live music. The longhorn hayride is the only add-on, at $3 per rider.
Do you take credit cards?
Yes — cash and credit are both accepted at the gate and at concessions. No ATM scramble required.
How much are pumpkins?
Pumpkins are priced separately from admission, from $3 to $15 depending on size — real pricing, no gouging. Browse the whole pumpkin patch and pay when you pick.
When do tickets go on sale?
Early-bird tickets go on sale August 15 through our online ticketing page, and tickets are always available at the gate on open days too.
02Dates, Hours & Weather
When is the Fall Festival open?
October 2 through November 8, 2026 — Fridays 10am–3pm, Saturdays 10am–7pm, and Sundays 11am–6pm. That’s six weekends; see them all on the dates & hours page.
Are you open on Halloween?
Yes — Halloween falls on a Saturday this season (Oct 31), so we’re open our full Saturday hours, 10am–7pm. Costumes strongly encouraged by the pumpkins.
Are you open in November?
Yes — the pumpkin patch stays open through the first weekend of November (Nov 6–8), after the October rush is gone. Shorter lines, cooler air, same farm.
What happens if it rains?
If weather forces us to close, your ticket is good on any other open day this fall. No refund hoops — just come back and play.
03Finding the Farm
Where is Ruby Creek Family Farm?
At 390 Oates Creek Rd, Aurora, TX 76078 — between Rhome and Aurora, 30 minutes northwest of Fort Worth and about 20 from Haslet and Azle. The directions page walks you in turn by turn.
How do I find the entrance?
From Old Base Road, turn at our sign onto Oates Creek Road, then look for the big red ENTRANCE flag at the gate. A little off the beaten path — and so worth it.
Is parking free?
Always — free parking with easy access, and the farm is handicap accessible.
04On the Farm
How does the longhorn hayride work?
It’s $3 per rider on top of admission (24 months and under ride free). Times are assigned when you arrive, first come, first served — the covered wagon takes you out to hand-feed the herd. Full story on the hayrides page.
Can we bring our dog?
Give us a quick call at (817) 966-0141 before you load up the pup — we’ll let you know what works. (Service animals are always welcome.)
Can we bring outside food?
Birthday parties bring their own cake to their reserved tables — for everything else, call ahead at (817) 966-0141 and we’ll sort it out. There’s also a full concession stand: caramel apples, walking tacos, smashburgers, and fresh lemonade.
05Parties, Photographers & Groups
How do birthday parties work?
Everyone pays regular admission, $50 reserves two picnic tables in a semi-private spot overlooking the pond, and your party gets its own private hayride. All the details are on the birthday parties page — book by calling Stacy.
Are professional photographers allowed?
Welcomed, actually — the barn, vintage truck, pumpkin rows, and longhorns make Ruby Creek a favorite fall mini-session location. Call Stacy to set up your sessions.
Do you host school field trips?
Bring your class, co-op, troop, or daycare — Friday mornings are made for field trips. Call Stacy at (817) 966-0141 with your group size and dates.
